Karen’s holistic beauty business acumen stems from her experience as a nail salon owner in her early career, to a top sales rep for major beauty brands including Moroccan Oil, East Coast Beauty Supply, and Cosmoprof. In witnessing the first Salon Suite franchise opening in her state, Karen identified problems in the market — for both the franchisees and the struggling beauty professionals.
In 2016, Karen founded Allure Salon Group, marking the introduction of private Salon Suites in the state of Pennsylvania. This venture quickly expanded to five locations, supporting over 115 studio salons in running their own independent salon businesses. The success of Allure Salon Group led to the establishment of Allure Salon Suite Consulting in 2018, where Karen leverages her deep industry knowledge to assist clients nationwide in establishing, managing, and scaling private Salon Suite facilities at cost-effective rates. Allure Salon Suite Consulting also offers strategic exit planning for facility owners, providing tailored advice for those looking to transition away from their investments when the time is right.
Karen's approach is uniquely holistic; she offers end-to-end solutions for investors from location scouting and lease negotiation to construction and tenant onboarding. Her ability to negotiate tenant improvement allowances effectively reduces out-of-pocket expenses for her clients, substantially undercutting the typical costs associated with franchise models.
